The project site was busy for hours today. Rusty Surette with KWTV came by and interviews Rachel Mosman and Hans Butzer about the model and its upcoming display. Bob and Betty McCoy, Bill Welge and Steve Lackmeyer did their best impression of the Karate Kid’s “wax on, wax off” routine on the bubble with great success (there will still be some scratches, but nothing that should impede the view of the model.

Jeremy Gardner showed plans for the new steel base being built for the model, while the entire group discussed how best to create a new belt to attach the bubble to the model.

Dub Brunsteter is progressing in his effort to clean and repair the model. Award-winning filmmaker Bunee Tomlinson joined with Justin Tyler Moore in planning for a documentary about the Pei Plan and the effort to put the model back on display.
